We all have a choice to make when we’re tempted.
The choice is ‘do I go back to my addiction or do I move forward in God’s plan for my life?’
Porn is an addiction and unfortunately it can make us feel momentarily ‘happy’ or that we are in a ‘good place’ when we view porn. Alcoholics often relapse because being intoxicated provides a temporary ‘escape’ from the reality of life. Likewise viewing porn provides a temporary escape from the pressures of life, relationship issues, work demands and personal worries disappear.
When we are tempted? Who do we turn to? Do we remember God’s plan for our lives or do we believe the lie from the enemy that says ‘porn is ok…’ (or a variation of this lie?) The choice is yours. I encourage you to stop and remember God’s plan for your life when you are tempted.
Throughout the bible we read that God didn’t stop trouble from appearing on the horizon. He did however make a way through it. Likewise, God has plans for your life and He wants you to be victorious. Porn has no place in your life.
