When King David stood on his roof, looked down and saw a naked lady he did what we do when we view pornography. He desired more. He went back for more.
If the man (David) after God’s own heart (note 1) succumb to sexual temptation, then we need to realise how powerful pornography is. What David saw from his balcony would pale in comparison to what is available online. And most of it is free pornography. Free pornography in that it provides you with a thrill but eventually you will be drawn further into the sin of porn and lust.
Because of David’s sexual sin and resulting behaviour his family life suffered. His family experienced death, further sexual sin, murder and division within the family (note 2).
We all know people who were caught watching porn by their wife or an employer. Look at the damage that their porn habit caused them. Men have lost their wives, their careers, finances, friends and access to their children. All because of their pornography addiction.
